Though I had an expensive set to play with, they've tripled in cost since I bought them, and I wanted another set that was less costly. I ordered a 25 pc stack to see what they were like, and I must say I was very impressed. My other set was 8.5 grams and these were 1/3 heavier. Though toting around 1000 of these is a chore, I really like the extra weight in play. So I took the plunge and ordered a large set of these (2000+) which should cover any limit I could afford to play, and then some, including low, mid and high limit denominations.
The texture of these chips when new is like those of much more expensive clay chips, and they must be 'broken in' before you can shuffle them easily. I tested this by carrying around 10 chips in my pocket for a few days, and shuffling them while I was watching TV (which drove my wife out of the room!). After handling these for a few days, the edges of the chips exhibited a more intense color and looked and handled beautifully. They also have that nice 'click' to them when riffling them at the table or tossing them into a pot. When you're holding these, it feels like you really have something of value in your hand. Add to this the simple but attractive design, color scheme and edge spots of the chips, and you have what I feel is one of the best values on poker chips out there. Prompt shipping and well packed boxes were icing on the cake. Kudos to the staff at Discount Poker Shop for bringing these to market. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend these poker chips!

Casino Chips Colors
Our poker chips boast a professional appearance with your own full-color logo or print, making them a great choice for your cash games and tournaments. Our casino-grade playing cards from top brands are made of exclusively engineered plastic, designed to outlast ordinary paper cards and retain their original look. Still, some casinos places fancy themselves unique and try to change up a color or two. For instance, where I started dealing, our $1 chips were blue. I've also seen brown singles (The Orleans, I believe), and of course, the old silver 'slugs' as the insiders refer to them.
